To support our customers in the wake of Hurricane Helene, Security First Insurance is deploying a Mobile Storm Response Center to assist its policyholders in the Tallahassee area.
The Mobile Storm Response Center can provide a range of essential services for our Security First customers, including:
- Filing or assisting with a claim
- Getting assistance with tree removal and/or tarping
- Additional Living Expenses (ALE)
For the most up-to-date information on our Mobile Storm Response Center, including any changes to location or hours of operation, please check the Storm Center on the Security First Insurance website.
In addition to the Mobile Storm Response Center, Security First Insurance and our partners in the First Choice Repair Network® are actively working in the areas impacted by Hurricane Helene, assessing damage and providing critical services such as emergency tree removal and tarping and other necessary support to help homeowners recover from the impact of the storm. Back at our headquarters building in Ormond Beach, we have more than 300 trained professionals, many of whom have volunteered to work extended hours, to help our customers throughout the state who have experienced damage to their homes.
“We have had eight years of Category 2 or greater hurricanes make landfall in the U.S., many of which impacted our customers here in Florida. We are better prepared today than any time in our 20-year history,” said Melissa Burt DeVriese, President of Security First Insurance.
“Our strategic approach demonstrates our unwavering commitment to delivering on our promise to be there for our customers, storm after storm, year after year®, by having excellent customer service and handling claims fairly and efficiently,” said Greg Moraski, Chief Claims Officer at Security First Insurance. “We understand the difficulties that homeowners may face in the aftermath of a hurricane, and our mobilized response efforts are aimed at providing swift and effective support to our valued policyholders.”
“We are financially stable, and with more than $1 billion in total reinsurance coverage for multiple storms in a single year and over $82 million in surplus—we have the funds to cover claims from Hurricane Helene” said Melissa Burt DeVriese.
