Halloween is quickly approaching, and all the little ghouls and goblins are getting ready for a frightful and delightful time. There are so many Halloween-related attractions and events in Florida – which one is best for you and your family? And make sure to check the park’s calendar before heading out – the Halloween fun is available on select nights only!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is held from 7 pm to midnight, September 1st to October 31st. This event is located at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. There will be lots of fun for the little ones as they dress up and trick-or-treat throughout the park, including candy, shows and a big dose of Disney Magic. Tickets start at $62.

Halloween Horror Nights 24 is held September 19th to November 1st at Universal Orlando Resort. This is an adult event – it’s not recommended for children under the age of 13. Your world will be transformed into something from your worst nightmares as you walk through eight haunted houses, four scare zones, shows, and rides. Tickets start at $45.99 for Florida residents with a UPC Coca-Cola code.

Howl-O-Scream takes place September 26th to November 1st at Busch Gardens Tampa. This event features haunted houses, rides, shows and more. This event may be too intense for children as it promises to unleash a new kind of terror. The event is held from 7:30 pm through 1 am and tickets start at $45.

Zoo Boo is located in Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo from September 26th to November 1st. This event is fun for the whole family with rides and spooky haunts mapped out with skull ratings based on their scare level. General Admission tickets start at $18.

Haunt Nights are held at the Adventure Landing in Jacksonville Beach, October 3rd through November 1st. This event features three haunted houses and a Zombie attack laser tag attraction. Tickets are sold “per haunt” but a combo ticket for all the houses plus the zombie attack attraction starts at $26.99.

Halloween Spooktacular takes place at Sea World Orlando each weekend in October from 12 – 8pm. This Halloween party is filled with trick-or-treating, arts and crafts for the kids, and shows for the whole family. The party continues with a Spooktacular Dance Party an hour before the park's closing time. Costumes are allowed and this event is included with park admission.

Haunted Nights at Flamingo Gardens begin October 17th through 25th at the Davie Flamingo Gardens wildlife sanctuary. This event will have two haunted houses, scare actors and animatronic props. It is not recommended for children under 10 and those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This event is held from 7 – 9pm and general admission is $8. All proceeds benefit the botanical gardens and wildlife sanctuary.

Annual Spooktacular takes place at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens October 21st – October 31st from 6:30 – 10pm. This event is themed “Lands of Enchantment” and will feature family friendly attractions and trick-or-treating. There are three scare zones recommended for ages 10 and up, and the rest of the attraction will cater to all ages. This event is the Zoo’s largest fundraiser – tickets are $9 and all proceeds go to the care and feeding of the animals.
