Ingredients: Two cans of chick-peas, tahini, clove of garlic, lemon, olive oil, and paprika.
Directions: Mix two cans of drained chick-peas, two tablespoons of tahini, the juice of half a lemon, two tablespoons of olive oil and one clove of thoroughly minced garlic in a high power blender or food processer until smooth. Empty into a bowl and top with olive oil and paprika before serving. Serve with your choice of bread or chips – pita bread is a great choice.
Ranch Dip Recipe
Ingredients: 16 ounces of sour cream, one cup of cheddar cheese, ½ cup of cooked bacon bits, and one packet of ranch dip seasoning.
Directions: Mix ranch dip seasoning and sour cream thoroughly, add cheddar cheese and bacon bits. Refrigerate for one hour before serving. Serve with crackers or chips.
Spinach Dip Recipe
Ingredients: 10 ounces of frozen chopped spinach, 16 ounces of sour cream, two cups of mayonnaise, a packet of veggie mix and ¼ cup of chopped chives.
Directions: Cook the spinach according to the directions on the package and let it cool. Once spinach is cool, squeeze the excess water out. Combine the veggie mix, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir until thoroughly blended. Add spinach and chives and mix well. Refrigerate for two hours, then serve cold with bread or crackers – Hawaiian bread is the perfect complement to this dip.
Bacon Dogs Recipe
Ingredients: One package of hot dogs, one package of bacon, toothpicks, and ¼ cup of brown sugar
Directions: Pre-heat the oven to 425°F. Cut each hotdog into three pieces, then wrap one slice of uncooked bacon around each hotdog piece. Use the toothpick to hold the bacon in place. Arrange each bacon dog on a cookie sheet and sprinkle brown sugar on them. Place them in the oven and let them cook for 15 minutes or until the bacon is brown.
Ingredients: Two ripe avocadoes, tomato, onion, lemon, cilantro and salt
Directions: Scoop the inside of the avocado out of the skin and discard the pit. Mash the avocado until smooth. Add chopped tomato, onion, cilantro, a tablespoon of lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Serve fresh with tortilla chips.
Individual Layered Bean Dip
Ingredients: 12 small plastic cups, one can of refried beans, one cup of guacamole, one cup of salsa, one cup of sour cream, one cup of Mexican cheese, one small can of sliced black olives, ¼ cup cilantro.
Directions: Arrange cups, scoop two tablespoons of refried beans in each cup followed by one tablespoon of the rest of ingredients in the following order: guacamole, sour cream, salsa and Mexican cheese. Garnish the top with black olives and cilantro. Serve with tortilla chips.
