When you live in Florida, you get used to the constant requests from out-of-state relatives and friends, many of whom are looking for the “hook-up” – a free place to stay, free theme park tickets, etc. Although many of us Sunshine State residents are more than willing to make our homes available to share the “suite” life with our visitors, the ticket request is often much more difficult to accommodate. Unless someone in our household works at a theme park, we have to pay for tickets, too – unfortunately, we don’t get a family and friends all-access pass to every amusement park in the state just because we live here!
Even if you can’t provide your guests with complimentary park tickets, these apps will help you give them the gift of time – a benefit they’ll come to appreciate the as they wander through the wonderland of Florida’s tourist attractions:
1. Florida 511 Traveler Information App
Official description: Florida 511 is a free download providing up-to-date traffic information on all of Florida’s interstates, toll roads and many major metropolitan roadways including I-95, I-4, I-75, I-10 and Florida’s Turnpike. The app offers text and audio updates, as well as camera views on crashes, congestion, construction and more. All Florida 511 traffic data is provided by the Florida Department of Transportation. 2. Disney Mobile Magic

When you are in the parks you can check official attraction wait times and Disney’s FASTPASS® return times for the Park you’re in. You can also play trivia, watch videos on select attractions and plan your upcoming visit with the Favorites feature. 3. Universal Orlando Wait Times
Official description: Real-Time Wait Times - Save time with over 400,000 wait time data points, all enhanced by real-time user submissions and park crowd levels. The Universal Orlando Wait Times app is available for both Android and Apple devices and can be downloaded free on Google Play or iTunes. Developed by Undercover Tourist, it is not an official app of Universal Orlando.
4. SeaWorld Mobile App
Official description: The app features true GPS navigation with highlighted paths to your destination and an interactive park map with search functionality. Find nearest restroom, places to eat, ATM, and more. Get real-time updates on wait times for rides, plus height restrictions and next show times for all shows. It provides basic park info, calendar with operating hours, weather, and driving directions. Use it to learn more about our animals, conservation status, and locations where you can connect with them. The iPhone app includes two bonus features: in-app camera allows you to take photos without leaving the app and the car finder feature lets you find your car when you leave the park. 5. Official Legoland® Florida app

6. Busch Gardens app
Official description: Busch Gardens’ first official park app is a must-have for your visit. This app is specially designed for both Busch Gardens parks. The Busch Gardens app utilizes GPS technology to guide guests through the park. The free app is designed to make guests’ experience even better by giving them park details at their fingertips and helping them get the most out of their day.
